Why The College Funding Coach?
Hugo joined the College Funding Coach in 2017 as it was a natural match with his clients. He educates many parents and families throughout New Jersey and the tri-state area. He’s a perennial gold sponsor of the New Jersey School Counselors Association, where he is positioned to be an extension of the great work many school counselors do around the state.
Background:
Hugo was born and raised in New Jersey. He originally hails from Hudson County and represents his hometown of Union City. He attended Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City before attending Boston University, where he had first-hand experience paying for a top-tier college.
He encountered his first entrepreneurial experience during college while interning at College Works Painting. He graduated with an economics degree in 2008 and immediately entered the financial services industry.
Community Involvement:
He recently became a gold sponsor and volunteer for the Special Olympics of New Jersey. He’s also a board member and past president of the Synergy Leads Group of LeTip, a board member for the St. Michael’s Basketball Association Non-Profit, and a sports enthusiast of all things New York: the Knicks, the Giants, and the Yankees. During his free time, he runs around with his daughters for soccer, cheerleading, dance, and many other activities.
